Beetles explored by Uncle Ray in nature notes
Uncle Ray describes beetle diversity with water dwelling, surface skimming, soil living and wing structures. He notes two real wings under wing covers and varied eyes, highlights ladybugs as beneficial, stag beetles in the south, and a wooden fight between males. A request for a free illustrated leaflet ends the piece, then a Roosevelt tenure fact is added.
