La Crosse Man Electrocuted At Sparta Sewage Plant
A La Crosse man, 30, was electrocuted about 1 30 p m Monday at the Sparta sewage treatment plant while guiding a metal pipe hoisted by a crane when the crane boom touched a power line. Kenneth Brush, the crane operator, was uninjured. Hildahl died en route to a Sparta hospital. He worked for F M Branson Plumbing Co of La Crosse and is survived by his widow and two children. Funeral services were to be held Thursday in Caledonia Minn with burial in Calvary Cemetery. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

The A Kertzman Co. of La Moille Minnesota was the apparent low bidder at 603626 dollars to lay about a mile of roadway from French Island into the Mississippi River bottoms as part of I 90 work at La Crosse Wisconsin. Other low bids included F F Mengel Co for soil cement bases and concrete paving on 4 263 miles between Lyndon Station and County Trunk N and on 4 29 miles between the Lemonweir River and County Trunk N. Bids also came from Ryan Inc La Crosse Dredging Co and Ford J Robers Co. Officials expect work to begin next month and finish in October 1964 with significant earth moving and dredging planned.
