Rate decision to be out Saturday
Washington June 17 The five per cent advance freight rate decision of the interstate commerce commission will probably be given out Saturday afternoon. Speculation centers on whether the five per cent horizontal advance asked by the railroads will be sanctioned. The decision is expected to spell out increases or denials by commodity and class and may include abolition of free services like car spotting switching wharfage dockage and storage. The commission is thought to deny coal and coke rate hikes.
