Changes Recommended In County Ethics Code
La Crosse County Administration Committee approved several amendments to the county ethics code. The plan calls for July 1 1974 and future April 30s for conflict disclosures, separate sections for supervisors and others, use of shall instead of should, and an ethics committee including judges, the county board chair, and a lay member. They will seek qualified nominees by June 20 and set penalties for violations.

Jack Winter Plans New La Crosse Plant and Expansion
Jack Winter Inc will move its La Crosse plant to a new 50 000 square foot one story building in La Crosse Interstate Industrial Park by Christmas with a 50 000 square foot expansion planned in two to three years. The firm hopes to employ about 800 workers then, up from 225, and foresees sales rising from 61 million last year to 100 million in two years. Construction will be financed by revenue bonds up to 750 000 dollars.
