Young GOP Keeps Out Of '48 Campaign
The Young Republican National Federation will maintain a hands off policy in the 1948 GOP presidential campaign after its national convention. Chairman Ralph Becker said the federation is part of the National committee and cannot pick a candidate, though state groups may endorse any candidate. The organization aims to help build the vehicle to victory while state branches choose their own positions.
