In Iowa, progressive candidates appear set to lead after Tuesday voting. Governor and Congressman Smith seem poised to defeat opponents, signaling a strong showing for reformist platforms amid a crowded contest.
The Progressive movement gains the governorship in South Dakota with Garst leading in 67 counties by an average 278 votes and potentially winning the state by 4,000 if this pace continues.
