An 18 year old La Crescent man, Arthur R. Osborn, died after being struck by an unidentified vehicle on Minnesota Highway 26 four miles north of Brownsville. Alan Hunter, 19, also of La Crescent, was seriously injured with a broken leg and head cuts. The hit and run occurred around 9:05 p.m. both cyclists northbound and were not seen until a passerby found Hunter about 9:20 p.m. Osborn’s death was pronounced at the scene by the Houston County Coroner. Services are tentatively set for Saturday.
