Government exhibit plans for wartime industrial display
A report outlines an extensive government exhibit at a major exposition detailing a two story granite building, display spaces for asbestos sulphur and mining products, textile and automobile lines, and a strong US participation led by the Bureau of Mines and Commerce. Delegations from industry and officials, including Deputy Commissioner Harrison, prepare to showcase American enterprise and foster international goodwill. The Louisiana governor contemplates a special committee, New Orleans seeks leadership in the Mississippi valley delegation, and Secretary Hughes asks Congress to authorize a presidential delegation to visit the expo as a courtesy mission.
