Mrs Frank Mader Dies Unexpectedly at Home
Mrs. Frank Mader Sr. died last night at 11 at her home 1502 South Thirteenth street after a brief illness. She was born February 18 1846 in Baden Germany and came to La Crosse in 1872. Survived by husband Frank and three sons Henry F Joseph and Frank, plus three sisters and a brother. Funeral Thursday at 9 in Holy Trinity Church with Rev Joerres officiating.

Washington reports a national temple of labor will be built in the city at an estimated cost of half a million dollars. The facility would host union meetings and serve as a monument to organized labor with space for local and national gatherings. Mrs Henry Conner Dies at Hillsboro Wisconsin
Mrs Henry Conner died in Hillsboro Wisconsin yesterday evening at 7 o clock. She had visited her daughter Mrs George Thompson since October. Captain Conner learned of her illness by letter and telephoned home, then reached her bedside before she died. The body will be brought to Viroqua and funeral held there. Amanda M Brensby of Philadelphia married to Henry Conner in 1857. The couple had three children Mary John and Henry, only Mary living. They moved from Boscobel to Viroqua later leasing the Park hotel and remained prominent residents.

Labor Committee Withdrawn As Trust Fund Raises

Mahoney suit against city over $150 damages continued
The case of former City Attorney P W Mahoney against the city for 150 dollars in damages from a wire contact on State street near League park last summer was continued for two weeks in Justice Hunt's court. The complaint has not been filed by the plaintiff.

Police Kill Small Puppy in Hasty Alley Shooting
A police officer on South Sixth Street shot and killed a small dog that was gamboling in the alley after a complaint. The first shot caused a terror shriek, and after two more shots the officer left the scene with the dog dead. Mr Yolton from police headquarters claimed he knew nothing of the incident when queried.

Kempf Relieved of Responsibility in Bank Loss Case
