The Tribune and Leager-Press asks patrons on the south side to bear with delayed paper delivery as a carrier reorganizes after many quit without warning Tuesday. Management has arranged replacements and will restore normal service within a few days, with missed deliveries supplied by messenger calls and follow ups to homes.
Warvin Wood of Vernon County dies after lifelong service as an early pioneer. The obituary notes his daughter Tee Rian Best, son-in-law Butlock, and widow in attendance. a sister Mrs Thornton Taylor resides nearby. The service was held on a Tuesday afternoon with clergymen officiating.
Searles Murphy a Rushford resident died in Le Crosse hospital after a brief illness of pneumonia at about 60 years of age. Survived by three daughters and several grandchildren, the Rushford American-Mistk reports. Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
Paris dispatch cites a Cen tre correspondent placing Eamon de Valera "somewhere in France" after rumors of his Paris arrival. The Irish leader reportedly insisted on self determination and cautioned that England would not honor promises, while denying any real division among Irish factions and defending Sinn Fein negotiations.
On October 1 1920 Mrs John Chas piste of Hurley Wis with a husband two daughters and a happy home faced poverty after a series of car seizures and alleged whiskey shipments ended with her husband killed by federal agents. Judge Landis ordered the return of the automobile used in the Milwaukee to Hurley whiskey route to the widow, aiding her and her two children. The case also noted a separate defective warrant leading to the dismissal of a prohibition indictment against Jacob Stetson. Bernard Dillon was found not guilty of city liquor violations in a related verdict.

The group lists leaders from Farmers' Nations' Council, machinists, locomotive engineers, and railway conductors.
Sabina Buckley of Alta Vista Iowa was killed instantly when struck by a stock train of the Chicago Great Western Railway while crossing the tracks on her way to church. The incident occurred in the local vicinity prompting inquiries into railway safety measures.

The appropriations committee notes an unexpended balance of 47 149 006 on December 1, bringing available funds to 63 399 006 through June 30. The panel says this is enough to maintain and improve projects to meet commerce needs.
Vi ola Wisconsin Captain Thomas Edwards aged 104, one of the oldest men in the state, is ill after a slight paralytic stroke. He lives with his son Joseph in Viola. If he survives he will celebrate his 125th birthday in February.
