President J R Forward of the American Farm Bureau federation told the Illinois Agricultural association farmers would donate liberally from America’s corn crop to feed the world. He said advices from many states show willingness to transport corn to the starving and that the matter has been taken up with Herbert Hoover, European relief head.
Pierre Paul Auther of Highland Park eloped with Mrs. Philip Franzen of Madison and was arrested on a larceny warrant sworn by her husband. He waived extradition, claiming innocence and stating he will go to Madison. He and Mrs Franzen were found in St Louis after leaving Madison. The charge involves $100. Franzen said he lent no money and he can disprove the claim. The case follows a recent Madison incident prompting the warrant. Mrs Franzen has returned to Milwaukee and plans to stay briefly before deciding her future.
Beyer of Greenfield collected a four dollar bounty by killing two red foxes and turning in the scalps to the county clerk. In Carbondale Michigan Nellie Woskovitz six and Louis seven were playing with a rifle when it discharged killing Nellie.
American Red Cross worker Captain Eme rett Kilpatrick is reported jailed in Moscow. US State Department was advised Saturday that he was captured earlier in the war and remains in a Moscow cell.

Nashville Tennessee Alfred Alexander Taylor a Republican was inaugurated governor Saturday becoming the second Taylor family member to hold the post. His high born brother Robert L. Taylor had served three terms, and Alfred entered office thirty five years after his first run against his brother.
