Guests Leap To Save Lives In Hotel Fire
A 100 room Towers hotel in Glen Falls New York burned in the early hours of Wednesday. Forty five guests were registered and all were accounted for within four hours though nine were injured. Firemen aided by neighboring departments fought a freezing snowbound blaze that collapsed the rear wall. Police had accounted for 43 of the guests with two unaccounted when reinforcements arrived. A rug salesman from Latham James E Keating described the rapid destruction.
