Rural fire leaves La Crescent family homeless
A Sunday blaze destroyed the Irvine one story home five miles west of La Crescent. Thomas Irvine, 44, is hospitalized in serious condition with burns. His wife Jeanette and seven children escaped. two daughters were at work and unaccounted for during the fire. The family is staying with neighbors as they seek shelter and rental housing.

Cat is untreed Rasputin rescued for a price
