Carter tax credit plan draws endorsements in Washington

Readstown pilot injured when airplane hits barn

Readstown Wisconsin pilot Robert Reser aged 42 was seriously injured when his light four passenger single engine plane failed to lift off from a dirt farm runway and struck a barn on the farm. The wreckage hurled beyond the barn and caught fire as Reser escaped and was treated at Vernon Memorial Hospital Viroqua then transferred to La Crosse. He used the plane to commute to a Chicago airport and was en route to Chicago at the time of the crash.

In South Milwaukee Kathi Lange 18 has shouldered much of her family’s duties after her father’s death and mother’s heart attack. Offer to buy Chicago area steam locomotive 4000

Two Highland Indiana men offer $15,000 to purchase the C B & Q Steam locomotive No. 4000 at Copeland Park Rose and Clinton Streets. City parks officials say the monument will not be sold. The would be buyers plan a restored steam train for short excursion trips if allowed.
