J M Holley Bank President Dies at 78 in La Crosse
John M. Holley 78 longtime president of the State Bank of La Crosse died in a local hospital Tuesday evening after a period of illness. He led civic groups including the Chamber of Commerce Rotary and Kiwanis and served as a National Guard lieutenant colonel. He was born July 7 1874 in La Crosse and married Mabelle Newell in 1900 leaving three sons.
