Fifty Wisconsin publishers met in Madison and organized The League of Progressive Republican Newspapers of Wisconsin to promote progressive candidates led by Senator La Follette. A publicity bureau will operate in Milwaukee with a Madison branch and a national meeting is planned in Washington, DC, in April to unite progressives nationwide.
