Fred L. Kramer 71, president of First Federal Savings & Loan, was selected as La Crosse’s 22nd President’s Award man of the year at the Great er La Crosse Chamber of Commerce centennial celebration. The gala drew 1,025 attendees as Kramer, a former street car conductor, was praised for his civic service and growth of the savings association from 7 to 85 million in 16 years.
