Release Of Water From Nine-Foot Channel Pools
The U S War Department plans to release water from several navigation pools along the Mississippi between Hastings and Guttenberg to meet St Louis area transport needs. Pools 5 7 and 8 will stay near current levels for a week or two while upper Mississippi river conservation studies assess fish life. A public notice will follow if drawdown rates change.
