Be Grateful Survivors Told at Christmas Funeral Tragedy
A La Crosse Christmas trip turned tragic when a crash at O Hare killed Hazel Wisler and Cecil Wisler and Beverly Long and left Patricia Paris as the sole survivor. The la Crosse service at St Thomas More featured a blue and red stained glass nave and a Marine honor guard. Father E J Thome urged faith over bitterness and noted death as fulfillment with Eucharist rites for the three families. The ceremony included 125 attendees and honored service by Long in World War II.
