Speck Trial To Be Held In Peoria
CHICAGO AP Richard Speck will be tried in Peoria for the murder of eight student nurses in Chicago. Judge Paschen announced the venue change at a hearing saying defense requests prompted the move. The trial location is Peoria’s new courthouse near the jail.

Mrs. Darlys Kelly, 27, of Minneapolis, was convicted of third degree murder for the October 20 fatal shooting of Dwaine Forbragd, 23, at a Forest Lake tavern. The jury deliberated about seven hours and a pre sentence investigation was ordered.

Anna C Chase 83 of 615 N 16th St died in a local hospital on December 19. She survived by three daughters all of La Crosse six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services Wednesday at St Pauls Lutheran Church with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Also noted is Viola Morrison 87 who died December 19 in Waterloo Iowa with service pending in Waterloo and burial there.
