Trempealeau Driver Killed When Truck Hit By Train
Edward O. Larson of La Crosse was killed Friday afternoon when his truck failed to stop at a Trempealeau crossing and was hit by the Northwestern 400 passenger train. Larson, 1335 Avon St., La Crosse, a Farley Sausage relief driver, left Galesville and died instantly. his body was thrown about 200 feet. He is survived by his wife Mae Hallestad and two children, plus three sisters. Funeral set for Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Stetten-McKee chapel. burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
