Reynolds vetoes line of succession bill in 1963 county notes
Gov. Reynolds vetoed a Milwaukee County line of succession bill saying it used a horse and buggy approach for the 20th century. He favored allowing the county board chair to succeed the executive when vacancy occurs but opposed succession if the executive is absent more than 24 hours. The document records county board actions on budgets, per diems, insurance costs, and the courthouse bond funds, with adjournment and certification by County Clerk Esther Domke on November 20, 1963.
