Fire destroys Ben Franklin store. 5 hurt in North Side blast
Explosion and five hour blaze at the Ben Franklin store on Caledonia Street sent smoke high and damaged multiple shops. Five people including three firefighters were treated for burns and smoke inhalation, one bystander hurt in a vehicle crash near the scene. Gas lines were leaking beneath Caledonia Street as NSP and firefighters worked through the night to secure the area. Local shops reopened as officials continued investigations into the cause.

In St Paul Minnesota a young mother Linda Angus 25 and her four children Stacy 6 months Tim Meyers 2 Theresa Meyers 4 and Lee Ann Meyers 6 died from smoke inhalation when their duplex burned early Monday. The father Russell Angus 30 was hospitalized for smoke inhalation and a fireman James Kuhns Jr 32 cut on the wrist while attempting to reach the family.

Tax load shifts for Medary residents in 1977 districts

Campbell Board approves 75000 loan for sewer project
