Three Hurt In West End Bridge Collision
Three people were injured in a head on crash on the west approach to the Mississippi river bridge at 6 15 p m. Saturday causing 1500 damage to each car. Mrs Leona Lee of Caledonia Minn suffered chest injuries R E Fitzpatrick of La Crescent Minn had a compound fracture of the left leg and Rol Rank of 1510 Madison Street had face lacerations. Police said both cars were front end demolished and towed to local garages. The injured were taken to hospitals by police ambulance squad car and a motorist. Fitzpatrick said he saw the Lee car and tried to pull to the south curb. Rank was riding with Fitzpatrick.
