Secret Sugar Stamp Number To Be Revealed Jan 1
OPA officials said the number of the new five pound sugar ration stamp will remain secret until January 1 to prevent pre redemption. The stamp covers five pounds from January 1 to April 30 with current stamps 51 and home canning stamps 9 and 10 expiring December 31. A second stamp may be issued in early 1947, but likely not before April 1. Industrial sugar allotments for Q1 1947 stay at Q4 1946 levels, with January and February institutional allotments unchanged.
