Two men identified as yi¢GL! and Bishop were convicted for robbing a ticket agent and sentenced to prison in Waupun by Judge Higbee. The incident prompted a police investigation and public safety statements.
Two men Walter Niggli and Louis Bishop were sentenced to eight and five years in prison after pleading guilty to robbing a Green Bay railroad ticket agent A Oak es. The hold up occurred near the depot when agents were knocked unconscious with a revolver. Bishop received the lighter sentence due to his confession and cooperation with police. Albert Bishop, the younger brother, was freed pending further inquiry.
In Wisconsin news, a Commission ruling states penal institution workers in Milwaukee are not entitled to compensation for injuries sustained at work. The decision followed the injury of Martin Hanlon whose finger was cut off while at a factory in the Milwaukee house of correction.
