Pontiac Unveils 1953 Line of Dual-Streak Chieftain Cars
Pontiac Motor Division announced the 1953 line in a nationwide dealer showing at Strike Pontiac Company. The new six and eight cylinder models feature longer wheelbases, three series Special Deluxe Custom, eleven body styles, new wrap around rear windows, revised styling, power steering, improved suspensions, and enhanced interior space for better driver and passenger visibility.

The Madison Bureau reports Wisconsin and county crews mobilize about 3,300 trucks and 900 graders and sanders for winter snow control. State policy prioritizes sand on hills and intersections with new plow and scraper setups to keep roads open and billings may exceed 4 million dollars.
