Allen Assaults Return to Jail in Sparta Case
In Sparta on December 4, Dr. Raymond and Ed Mayfield of Cataract were jailed again after release by their attorney prompted by the sheriff. District Attorney Abel found irregularities and ordered their return, noting no certificate from the supreme court justice was attached to the writ of error. Mayfield and Hebron await that certification and a release order. Also reported are youths Willie King and Jesse Perham sent to reform school after burglary confession and parental agreement.
