Steelworkers Admit Raid On Factory
In Kalamazoo Michigan the CIO United Steelworkers said members raided the Shakespeare company plant. Seven people were injured and property burned and damaged. State Director Thomas Shane said communists led or participated in the invasion but called the claim a lie. He noted 20 of 700 steel workers who walked out three months ago have returned. Authorities increased police presence at the plants after a dawn raid by about 300 raiders. about 200 non striking workers passed through lines peacefully today.

Two Firemen Overcome In Downtown Fire
In Eau Claire Wisconsin a major downtown blaze destroyed two brick buildings at Grand Avenue and Barstow Street.
