Stop Immigration For Six Months Bill Aims From King
Washington reports a six month immigration halt bill aimed to give Congress time to draft a general law. Senator King of Utah plans to introduce the measure soon after the next session opens. Immigrants numbered 31 in the first four months of this fiscal year while 214,705 left the United States, net aliens up 155,154. Most arrivals came from Thrope and most emigrants returned there. Last fiscal year Europe saw more emigations. 246,295 left while 4,004 arrived.
