Runaway Surrey Triples Injure Three Milwaukee Women
A horse drawn survey cart owned by Conrad Mueller of Barre Mills ran away on West avenue and Cass streets injuring three Milwaukee women and dragging Mrs Mueller. Fireman Dennis McCauley, assisted by J E Hauser and C C Looney, stopped the horses near Denton street and all injured were taken to La Crosse Lutheran Hospital with no internal injuries reported.

A violent wind and rain storm swept the Red River valley causing extensive crop damage in Minnesota and Trail county. James Earl La Due, an eleven year old foster son of Sampson La Due, is to be committed to the state school at Sparta by County Judge John Brindley this afternoon. The petition was filed by the foster father and humane officer Charles H. Berry, who state the boy is incorrigible and unmanageable and often stays out at night.

LaCrosse Girls Survive Western Train Wreck
Miss Carrie Owen and Miss Anna Kahle of Langdon and Boyd escaped serious injury when the Denver and Colorado railroad wrecked near Huster Colorado Springs on August 14. Nine died initially, two more later, with seventy injured aboard the wrecked train. They returned to La Crosse Sunday after completing their western trip and shared photos of the wreck.

French Airship Fournier Fatally Injured In Somersault At Rheims
