The parking utility board submits a 29 page ordinance authorizing 619000 in parking system mortgage bonds to fund a Market Square ramp. It will be introduced by the June council session per board president M R Birnbaum. Chapman and Cutler of Chicago prepared the ordinance and advised on bonding, architecture and fiscal agents.

In Annapolis Maryland three Navy midshipmen wed the Dougherty sisters in a single St Marys Catholic Church ceremony. La Crosse’s oldest resident Mrs Theresa Brieske 105 of 1802 East Ave S died at home Saturday morning. Survived by a daughter Mary Ehlenz and a son Joseph Brieske both of La Crosse six grandchildren 16 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral services set for Tuesday at 8 30 a m at Schumacher Funeral Home and 9 a m at St Thomas More Church with burial in Norwalk Catholic Cemetery. Rosary Monday evening at 7 30 p m.
