Paul J. Blaha, 49, of Chippewa Falls, died Saturday when his car went out of control on Highway 21 near Wautoma. Four others were injured as Wisconsin's traffic toll rose to 386 for the year, the ninth death since the July Fourth holiday weekend.

Mental Patient Sought For Killing Caught

Three Wisconsin departments delay August payrolls

The University of Wisconsin and the State Taxation and Public Welfare departments said they would delay August payrolls awaiting legislative action on the biennial budget. UW vice president Neil G. Cafferty aims to include a proposed faculty and staff pay raise if possible by July 20. Taxation head John A. Gronouski will act by July 13, and Welfare director Wilbur J. Schmidt said payrolls will be held until the last minute.

Flores To Return To Yukon Territory

Flores, the San Bruno electrician stranded seven weeks after a Yukon plane crash, plans to return to Alaska for another year of duty on the Dew Line radar project at Balmain in the Arctic Circle. He and Helen Klaben, rescued in March after Feb crash near starvation, say he is in excellent shape and may fly again.
