Virginia and Arkansas push separate schooling with nearly 200 anti integration laws. Fears of school closures rise as federal courts order mixed classes in Arlington and Norfolk. Major tests loom in September with Little Rock central high as a flashpoint.
Police say bicycles will not be permitted in the Labor Day parade. Officers order removal of bikes from the parade route. Visiting bands have reportedly refused to attend in the past due to bicycles in the parade.
