Four Generations Of Family Crash Victims
In Meadville Pennsylvania a collision between a coal truck and a car killed six members of Theodore Malay’s family across four generations. Elizabeth Malay 27 Theodore Jr 6 Kathleen 5 Anna Marie 3 Elizabeth Floyd 48 Anna Hilbert 67 died. Theodore Malay and 5 month old Susan Patricia survived in serious condition. Betty Malay drove the car at 7:30 AM. the truck driver Virgil Mowery from Greenville was unharmed. The crash occurred on Route 285 as the car moved into the path of the 17 ton coal truck.

USAF Completes Titan Missile First Airlift Milestone
The Air Force completed the first airlift of a Titan intercontinental ballistic missile with the 50 foot first stage arriving at Cape Canaveral. The second stage arrived by C124. The Titan will serve as an engineering guide for four service towers and a potential late September test firing. The Titan stands about 92 feet tall and surpasses the Atlas ICBM in power.

Shark scare keeps bathers out of water in New Jersey
A shark scare along a 10 mile stretch of Long Beach New Jersey Saturday kept thousands of bathers from the water. Coast Guard boats reported sighting sharks near shore and a beach policeman saw eight sharks about 200 yards offshore. Police notified beach operators.
