Fremont man dies of heart attack in shed
A Fremont man, 63, died of a heart attack in a shed behind his home Friday night after cleaning fish. Moments later his wife, 48, Mrs. Gertrude Nemon, collapsed from an apparent heart attack and was listed in critical condition at New London Hospital. Coroner G A Steele ruled the death a heart attack.

New Electric Vault Under Construction At Main Street Store
An underground transformer vault in front of the Kresge store at 418 Main St is under construction for Northern States Power Co. The project costs about 50 000 dollars with Peter Nelson and Son as contractor. Excavation began Saturday night and will take about three weeks. The vault measures 10 feet deep 9 feet wide and 35 feet long. A bridge will be built across the site to access the store. Officials say the vault will provide additional electrical capacity for downtown businesses.

Five in Chicago Family Die in Wisconsin Highway Crash
Five members of a Chicago family returning from a vacation and a Wisconsin man were killed in a head on collision on Highway 41 near Fond du Lac. The Rice family and Richard J Krasavage of Tigerton died. one Rice son survived. The crash occurred at 12:22 p.m. on a straight two lane stretch, with witnesses noting a passing maneuver.
