The notice identifies ROBERT H. MILROY of Carroll as Treasurer of State candidate. It then lists a series of local society meetings, church services, lodge schedules, and county notices including Tipton and Hamilton counties, events at the Lake County Fair, Galveston buildings, and various community items.

The Indianapolis Penu and Chicago Railway offers half fare for all attending the Tip top Camp Meeting starting August 11. Tickets are half fare during the event. On August 14 a special train will run from Peru Kokomo Hairfields Sharpsville Jackson's to Tipton arriving 8:55 p.m. Returning service departs Tipton at 5:00 p.m. Full fare charged for riders without tickets.
Radical clash over Ray arrest ends with Sheriff Taylor and posse beaten by a mob in Noblesville. The incident began when Ray was seized in Berlin Tipton County and transported for transport to Indianapolis, sparking a train-side rescue by armed locals. Governor Baker countermanded the order after Ray’s release, and the episode sparked political recriminations and calls for legal action.
