Albert Oxford of Kodiak found seventy five pounds of animal vertebrae in one piece at Settler's Cove in Kizhuyak Bay during rabbit hunting. The bone, possibly part of a prehistoric monster backbone, was placed on display at the Community Center for a natural history student to identify. The find occurred about a half mile inland at an altitude of 400 feet.
