Kodiak Seeks Independent School District Vote Sept 7
Residents in the Kodiak area will vote September 7 on forming an independent school district. Five directors will be elected if the majority approves. Judge Joseph Kehoe ordered the election following a citizen petition. Eligible voters must be Alaska residents for one year, 21 years old, and literate in English. Max Lalande, Killen Vawson, and John A Gibbons were appointed to supervise and appoint election officers. Attorney John Hughes will post election orders 30 days prior.
