Former Kodiak Attorney Drager Dies in Anchorage
Karl A. Drager 54 prominent Anchorage attorney and former legislator died at Providence hospital after a 10 day illness from a heart attack. He came to Alaska 25 years ago, lived in Seward, later Ketchikan and Kodiak. Survived by widow Lotta, daughter Eunice, and two sons Courtland and Karl Allen. Drager active in Kodiak legal circles and Griffin Memorial hospital project work. Mrs. Drager is sister of Merrill Coon of Standard Oil.

Sorum scored a 1000 pound mother bear with a single shot, while the other two bears were credited to Wiley and Nelson for large cuts each. Sorum, nicknamed Deadeye from a prior failed trip, was pleased by the one shot kill on Kodiak's big game.
