Last Rites Held for Mrs Sprague at Hillcrest Chapel
Funeral services were conducted Thursday at Hillcrest Chapel for 66 year old Mrs Helen Elmira Sprague mother of Mrs Charles Nettle. A Kodiak resident for three years she had been an invalid for many years and died at the base hospital on Tuesday. Mrs Nettle was her only child.

Jeep Plunges From Cliff. Four Marines Escape Injury
Four shore patrol members escaped a cliff plunge when a jeep returning to base left Marine gate control and tumbled down the cliff near the bay. The vehicle was badly damaged with the top torn off.
