Plane Found All Safe After Snow Squall Rescue
Four people aboard the missing Groman Widgeon are safe at Sand Point after being forced down by a snow squall near Balboa Bay eight miles north. Sighted by a Fort Randall B-17, survivors received food and clothing during an eight hour search and were rescued by a Sand Point boat. The pilot is G Shuster of Seward and passengers include Polly Osterback and Mrs Carlson with her infant, sister of Mrs Al Miller.

Unga Man Dies Wednesday
Harry Brugnan, 63, of Unga, died of cancer Wednesday morning at Griffin Memorial Hospital after a month as patient there. Father Louis B Fink conducted services at 240 yesterday afternoon. burial followed in the local cemetery. Born in Holland, he came to Kodiak Island about 20 years ago and never married, losing touch with family in the old country during the war.

Denali Transit From Seattle With Mail And Freight
