Snyder Buys Fairbanks Bar On Cushman Avenue
Roy F. Snyder owner of the Mecca bar has purchased the Reception bar in Fairbanks located on Cushman avenue opposite the Model cafe. The transfer of the bar license from Steve Boin ich was approved by the Fairbanks city council on Tuesday June 5. Snyder recently returned to Seattle via Alaska Steamship and flew to Fairbanks by Pan American arriving last Sunday.

U S Indian Service officers Louis Mueller and Charles Hoskins reported two nonresident Alaska fishermen in the area who desisted after warnings. Native fishermen monitor the reservation. Mueller plans to return in two weeks while Hoskins stays through the summer. The officers focus on allowing native fishers to work within the 3000 ft limit, though the limit is not being enforced and natives require about 1200 ft for nets.

Fisherman Drowns Near Bear Island

Seattle Man Dies At Hospital
Edward Robert Taylor a 50 year old engineer for the Alaska Packers Association at Larsen Bay died at GM hospital Monday evening from carcinoma of the pancreas. Dr A Holmes Johnson reported. He lived at 1909 Minor Avenue Seattle and is survived by his widow Mrs Johanna Taylor. The body will be shipped by the next boat to Seattle for burial.
