Kodiak to vote on jail site sale for federal facility
A special election will be held in Kodiak on Tuesday August 6 to decide on the city selling for one dollar a parcel housing City Hall for a new federal jail. The $140000 project would relocate City Hall to the south end of the lot and move it nearer the Horsman property. If the jail is not selected the land reverts to the city.
