Navy To Stop Hauling Families

Fishing Season Picks Up Inlet Cannery Activity
The Ambassador tender owned by Whiz Hafferty Can neries Inc arrived at the local cannery with a full load of red salmon from Cook Inlet as locals gathered to watch. The Nuisance IV followed with a similar cargo while the season shortens by one day and now ends Friday. Fisheries agent Roy Lindsley reports the weekly catch of red salmon in the Red River area at 69,176 with escapement 110,236, well above last year. Karluk area catch reaches 271,218 though escapement trails by about 4,000. Alitak area shows escapement 39,708 and catch 1,491.

Parking Rules Change In City Intersection

City Seeks Funds For Dock And Harbor Breakwater

Safe Recovered and Two Marines Held at NOB Robbery
