Kodiak suffered its worst electric breakdown this week as snow and wind felled transformers, poles, and lines. Crews led by Rosak and hero Jehe Farrow worked through the weekend with volunteers to restore service, many areas including downtown hit hardest while nearby hospital and fire facilities received power.

Former Bremerton resident Anastacia Angell dies at 77
Anastacia E Angell of Bremerton Washington died January 23 AP reports. She claimed to be last surviving member of Alexander Baranov's family first governor of Russian America. Angell 77 lived in Bremerton 40 years and leaves three sons and three daughters. Daughter of Paul Pauloff she lived on Woody Island as a child. A relative recalls no known Baranov connection.
