City Council Accepts Option to Buy Cold Storage Plant
Kodiak would gain a 90 day option on a cold storage plant after Craig Enterprises offered 1000 dollars at the Thursday meeting. The Anchorage firm would pay 65,000 dollars for the plant with 3,000 paid on option and 62,000 due over 124 months, plus city taxes. If the option is exercised, the sale would go to a public vote early next year.

Pioneer Alaskan Merchant Donnelley Dies at 82
Harry Donnelley a long‑time Alaska pioneer and Miners and Merchants Bank founder died this week from pneumonia. Born in Chester Pennsylvania he came to Nome in 1904 and later moved to Solidarod then Kodiak. Survived by a Seattle wife and sisters in Pennsylvania, funeral plans pending.
