Christmas Observances At Community Baptist Church
Tomorrow and Wednesday evening the Community Baptist Church hosts Christmas programs. The 7 30 pm program features congregational singing, children and junior girls choirs with piano and organ accompaniments, a Christmas meditatio n by the pastor, and a four choir performance of carols including O Come All Ye Faithful. The Sunday School program follows Wednesday at 7 30 pm with recitations, a pageant, a play, and a list of numbers led by Rev RN Wilkinson and a team of directors.

New Rules For Fishing In Juneau
The Fish and Wildlife Service unveiled a five point program coordinated with the territorial referendum to abolish fish traps. It requires licenses for boat owners and individuals, grants licenses to those active in fishing in the prior three years, auctions additional permits in later years, and allows revocation for rule violations. Written objections may be sent to FWS in Juneau or Washington, D.C. Regional director Clarenes Rhode announced the proposal after a telegram from Washington.

Base Town Phones Link Planned For Tuesday Morning
The town and base telephone systems will connect at 6am Tuesday. George Cushing, Kodiak Telephone co manager, said users will wait for a dial tone and then enter the base number. The base 8 key connects town and base users automatically with no switchboards needed. about 1000 phones will be on the joint system. Lists of base and town numbers will be distributed and available at the base.

George Kappos, owner of the Belmont Case, was found not guilty by a feman jury of violating the garbage ordinance. The city asserts a 1945 low-rate agreement was void. Kappos argues lack of notice.
