Residents Seek Clarification on Naval Station Hunting Rules

Station Officials will be asked to issue broadcasts and news releases. Harold Booth resigned as acting Secretary Treasurer. A nominating committee was named for a vacancy to be filled next meeting. Discipline Forum Opens at High School Library

The first of four panel discussions will be held Thursday December 19 at 7 30 pm in the high school library. Panelists include Dr Bob Johnson Dr William Henry Mr Ivor Schott Rev John Molletti and Mrs Donald Lawhead and Mrs Robert Ache son. The topic Discipline in the Classroom will be explored by Dr Strash organizer of the forum. The aim is to examine ideas on discipline in school family and society with no admission charge.

Storis Returns From Arctic Circumnavigation Voyage

Coast Guard cutter Storis returns to Juneau after a six month voyage that circumnavigated the continent. It tied at the Juneau Government Dock eight days shy of six months from sailing to Seattle. Bramble and Spar completed the voyage earlier. The trio followed Canadian ice breakers to become the first US ships to circle the continent. Storis leaves for Kodiak after a short layover.

ACS Reservations Not Necessary For Holidays

The third annual Santa Claus airdrop from U S Naval Station Kodiak will deliver gifts to over 250 children aged 1 to 15 in eight Kodiak and Afognak Island villages. Navy Marine and Coast Guard personnel will parachute nearly 2000 pounds of candy fruits nuts toys and clothing from low flying aircraft.
