The Kodiak public school opens September 4 with an estimated 800 students. Enrollment takes place in late August at the central office. The new high school and elementary building feature modern facilities and are organized to split attendance by district sections.

District Governor Articulates Rotary Visit Next Week
The Kodiak Rotary Club will host Ralph A. Bartholomew District Governor 151 and his wife Laura next Thursday. The duck hunting season starts September 1 with the same regulations as last year per Will Troyer of the Game Department. Attempts to extend dates failed. Regulations will be available soon at the PWS office on Mission Road. Daily bag limits include eight jack snipe, seven game ducks, three geese, three brant, fifteen coot, twenty five morganser, and ten for Old Squaw Harlequin Scoter and Eider combined. Gladys Marie Buchello and Elmer Niemen wed before U.S. Commissioner last night. Toastmasters Club meets September 4 at Montmartre.
